As members of Herbert Smith’s US practice, our junior attorneys have prominent exposure within the firm. Our principle recruitment policy is to find a select number of candidates who are a perfect fit with our practice. We then aim to develop these attorneys early in their careers in the hope that they will remain with Herbert Smith and eventually join the partnership. The firm will make a significant investment from the outset in all new junior attorneys, placing an emphasis on their professional development.

Further, as a result of being well-known to the partnership, junior attorneys are often afforded opportunities to capitalize on their individual skills and interests. For instance, secondment opportunities may exist for those attorneys with fluency in a particular language and an interest in a certain region of the world.
