You do not have to give us any information to use this website. However, if you want to subscribe for our publications, apply for a job or join our alumni programme we need certain information from you.
Information collection and use
Herbert Smith LLP owns the database right in the information collected on this website. We do not sell, share or transfer this information except as set out in this statement. We use the information to improve our services. As an international law firm it will from time to time be necessary to pass your information between our overseas offices and our affiliated businesses. In addition, as our relationship with our Alliance firms develops we will wish to share your information with them, again with the sole purpose of offering you the best possible legal service from Herbert Smith and its Alliance partners.
If you apply for a job or summer placement online you will need to provide information about your education, employment, racial background and state of health. Your application will constitute your express consent to our use of this information to assess your application and to allow us to carry out the monitoring activities required of us as an equal opportunities employer.
Cookies
When you visit the Herbert Smith website it will send your computer a session cookie which contains a unique but anonymous identifier (eg HZSGTE). The website server will create a corresponding but anonymised record of a number of technical details including the IP address of your computer, details of your operating system and the date, time and duration of your visit.
