Herbert Smith Singapore is located in Raffles Place, the heart of Singapore's financial district. It is opposite the Fullerton Hotel and a five-minute walk to Boat Quay, a popular al fresco dining spot with lively bars and pubs along the river. From here you get a great view of the Colonial Quarter across the river or the bright lights of the Central Business District behind you. The Asian Civilisations Museum, Merlion, the Sir Stamford Raffles statue and Old Parliament House are some of the other places of interest near the office.

Living and working in Singapore
The office has a collegiate atmosphere that also extends to social events. A wine and cheese function is held on the last Friday of each month to allow partners, associates and support staff to mix in an informal environment. A number of luncheons and dinners are also held throughout the year to welcome new joiners. Outside office hours, staff camaraderie is encouraged through sports events including the annual JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge footrace.

The office has membership of the California Fitness Centre in Raffles Place, which has steam rooms and sauna, as well as free classes and large multi-gym facilities. It is worth noting that many apartments in Singapore also have swimming pools, squash and tennis courts.

Singapore's location is ideal for travel, both for short breaks and for extended trips. On a long weekend you can travel as far afield as China, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, or Perth.

Benefits vary depending on your role with the firm, but can include contribution to the pension scheme, subsidised dental insurance, life assurance and subsidised fitness club membership.
