Herbert Smith Beijing is located in the China World Trade Tower at the heart of the Chaoyang District complex. The historic Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Heaven Temple are within fifteen minutes drive.

Living in Beijing
In Chaoyang District, there is a good selection of bars, cafes and clubs. Beijing also has many restaurants including Hard Rock Café and TGI Friday's. There are also several fitness centres near the office, which offer large multi-gym facilities and short-term membership or day passes at reasonable prices.

The firm itself provides a wide range of activities. Over Christmas and Lunar New Year there are sporting events such as badminton, and other activities from dinner parties to karaoke. During the year, we lay on excursions to the Botanical Gardens and Inner Mongolia, and also arrange hiking with clients to the Great Wall for instance. Every few months, the Beijing Foreign Enterprise Service Corp, a staff union for all foreign enterprises in Beijing, organises outings, such as, camping and rafting for Chinese staff working in foreign companies.
