Wide-ranging roles
Headed up by John Neville, the facilities department is responsible for providing the facilities and services that we need to support our clients. It consists of three core services, within which there are a wide variety of roles:

  1. Business services manage the staff restaurant, our reception and conference room suites, switchboard, travel and taxi services
  2. Building services support the growth of the firm internationally through refurbishment and relocation projects. Recent examples of their work include the setting up of the Dubai office in November 2007, the move of the Paris office in early 2008; and the refurbishments of Exchange House, 10 Exchange Square and City Gate House in London. Building services work closely with ISD and HR to make sure mobilisation is seamless.
  3. Document services manage and provide 24/7 access to a full range of document and reprographic services, as well as courier and mail services.
  4. The facilities team also includes a health and safety team who advise on health and safety matters across the firm in conjunction with HR. Other roles include business continuity planning and working closely with local estate management companies and businesses with regards to issues that affect the vicinity.
