Informing our clients and the markets
By sharing our knowledge and expertise with our clients we can help them identify legal issues that will affect their business. We do this through training, briefings and e-bulletins, all of which are delivered in a number of ways. For instance:
- our relationship partners and professional support lawyers work with clients to identify tailored training for them
- we hold client seminars on topical issues and invite clients to attend elements of our internal education programme
- the firm issues regular and ad hoc bulletins and briefings, which analyse legal issues relevant to our clients and their businesses
- using e-bulletins and newsflashes we provide dynamic analysis of legal issues and changes as they arise
The firm's partners, associates and professional support lawyers regularly write articles and publications for legal, professional and commercial journals on a wide range of subjects. Partners and associates also make regular contributions to books.
Andrew Lidbetter is a partner whose practice focuses on administrative and public law litigation. He is also the author of the judicial review and human rights chapters in Blackstone's Civil Practice and Company Investigations and Public Law - a book on the public law and human rights principles impacting DTI investigations.
He comments:
"In an area of the law where there are regular new developments, publications raise our profile with clients and others looking for specialist legal expertise of repute. Writing books is also personally instructive and helps to sharpen our own critical analysis and thinking on the law."
